Linda Gail Benishek, 64, of Broadway, VA died April 28, 2012 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.
She was born November 22, 1947 in Jessup, GA, and was a daughter of the late Lavellon and Myrtice Hodges Akins.
She was a supply clerk at Pilgrim’s Pride in Timberville for 24 years. She was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren, and a Girl Scout troop leader.
On December 13, 1977 she married Bruce Benishek who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Tina Healy and husband David of Verona, JoDee Lambert and husband Dennis of Lacey Spring, Tanya Crider and husband Jason of Timberville; one son, Eric Benishek and wife Patty of Weston, FL; one niece, Kim Collier and husband James of Timberville; Grandchildren, Randy, Mandi, Jennifer, Meagan, Kevin, Jordan, Kayla, Trew, Kirstyn, Cheyanna, Jacob, Madeline, Liam, Justin, Larz, Emily, Bradee; great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Leah, and Zayden ; four brothers and two sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous “adopted” grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
A memorial service will be held Thursday 6PM at Fairview Church of the Brethren near Endless Caverns. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
The body was cremated.
