Carl David Queen, 80, of Timberville died May 9, 2012 at his residence.

He was born August 3, 1931 in Kentucky and was the son of the late Charles David Sr. and Emily Jane Jordan Queen.

He worked as a truck driver and also worked as a custodian at the Harrisonburg High School.

He married the former Helen Lenoria Vernette, whom survives.

Also surviving are sons; Owen Thomas Hamlin Jr. of Timberville, Bobby Steve Hamlin of South Point, OH, daughters; Darla Sue Dray of Broadway, Diana Kay Workman of Timberville, Teresa Dawn Mooney of Broadway, fifteen grandchildren, Thirty great grandchildren, he was preceded in death by a brother; Charles D. Queen Jr.

Pastor Bernard Fuska will conduct a funeral service 5 P.M. Saturday at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.

The body will be cremated following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Broadway Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 666 Broadway, VA 22815 or to the RMH Hospice, 2010 Health Campus Dr. Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
