Aaron Matthew Bradfield, 84, of Broadway passed away December 30, 2023 at the Life Care Center of New Market.
He was born November 21, 1939 in Needmore, WV to the late Loyd Andrew and Goldie Marie Smith Bradfield.
Aaron retired as a steel worker from Shenandoah Manufacturing Co. He was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church near Broadway. Aaron was an avid Lionel model train collector, fisherman, and hunter. He also enjoyed antiquing, restoring cars, helping to paint over 100, and day trips to West Virginia. Aaron was a faithful Christian man, and a loving father and husband.
On April 5, 1958 he married the former Helen Whetzel who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Brenda Dovel of Luray; son, Beverly M. Bradfield and wife Lina of Mathias, WV; grandchildren, Wesley Siever and wife Kimberly, Terry Dovel, Ashley Dovel, Nathan Bradfield and wife Angie, Jordan Bradfield and companion Tiffany Reynolds; six great grandchildren; sister, Mary Moyer of Waynesboro; brothers, John Bradfield of Stuarts Draft, Geral Bradfield of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pastors Dale Brubaker, Steve Estep, and Milard Sonifrank will conduct a funeral service 11:00 am Friday at the Bethel Mennonite Church near Broadway. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may view and sign the book Thursday from 9 A.M. – 7 P.M. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
