Obituary

Andrea Sharon Ritchie, 82 of Linville, passed away August 4, 2025 at the home of her daughter and caregivers Tianna Croy and husband Robert.

She was born January 8, 1943 in Strasburg to the late Lucille Kline. She was raised by her late grandparents Martha and Russell Kline.

On October 2,1988 she married the late Ray S. Ritchie, Sr., who preceded her in death on December 24, 2020, whose memory she cherished and carried with her every day, together they built a life rooted in faith, laughter, family. She enjoyed the many bus trips they took together. She found great joy in their blended family.

She was known by many as Grandma from her career at Fulks Run as a Pre-K assistant. She enjoyed her flower gardens and was a great cook and did so at numerous establishments.  After Ray's passing, she enjoyed her lunch spot at Traditions with special nieces and special friends.

She was married to Eugene Layman who had two children; Eugene Layman and wife Bonnie Sue Shifflett and their son, Shannon Hite Layman; daughter, JoAnn Crisman and husband Terry and their children, Chad, Jamie, Travis, Dakota; grandchildren, Abbi, Caleb, Carter, Eleanor.  She then was married to Gerald Roy and his bonus children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Her marriage to Ray included his children; Tianna Croy and husband Robert, Ray Ritchie, Jr. and wife Becky and their children, Brittany Dove and husband Kenton, C.J. Ritchie and fiancé Taya; their grandchildren, Brayson Dove and Kayce Ritchie; sister, Jane Hamilton  and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by brothers Larry, Dickie, Donnie, Mickie Kline.

Rev. Pam Reedy will conduct a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Mtn. Grove Cemetery in Fulks Run.

Those wishing to pay respects may do so Friday from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway, where the casket will remain closed.
