Anita Marie Jameson, 66, of Harrisonburg, passed away May 12, 2026 at Sentara RMH.

She was born on February 21, 1960 in Harrisonburg Va, to the former Melvin Anderson and Mamie Francis May Morris.

Anita carried a genuine spark for life. She was the undisputed heart of every gathering, always ready with a quick joke and a laugh that could fill a room. Above all, Anita's world revolved around two pillars: her deep, unwavering relationship with God and her immense love for her family- especially her granddaughter, Lydia.

Surviving her are a daughter, April Jameson; son, Jerry Jameson and girlfriend Autumn Delawder; granddaughter, Lydia Jameson; brothers, Melvin Morris, Gary Morris; and sisters, Annie Thompson, Rebecca Smith, Elizabeth Thompson.

In addition to her parents, Anita was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Morris, and her sister, Lora Baker.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Family Worship Center. (940 Chicago Ave. Harrisonburg, VA 22802)
