Betty Jean Baker Cave Funkhouser, 90, of Rockingham, VA passed away May 29, 2024, at Sentara RMH after a short illness.  She is now rejoicing with her Heavenly Father.

Betty was born on September 4, 1933, to the late Claude and Bessie Dorman Baker.

Betty retired from Walker Manufacturing after many years of service.  She was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren in Keezletown.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Turner Funkhouser; sons, Michael Cave (Becky), Bruce Cave (Sandra), daughter-in-law, Jane Cave; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Arlene Kirby; a niece.

Betty was preceded in death by her son, Rick Cave; grandson, Chad Cave; sister Valley Neff ; brother-in-law, Woodrow Neff  and two nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.  Her body will be cremated.  Burial will be private.
