Betty Ann Garber Sullivan, 85, of Broadway, passed away May 10, 2026 at Crestwood of Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community in Harrisonburg.

She was born July 22, 1940 in Broadway and was a daughter to the late J. Arthur and Mary Elizabeth Neff Garber.

Betty retired from the National Institutes of Health as a senior supervisor communicator.

As an active member of Broadway Presbyterian Church, she was involved with the Meals on Wheels program and actively participated in other aspects of church life. She also was a member of the Broadway/Timberville Ruritan Club.

On March 19, 1966 she married Donald Walter Sullivan from Avon, South Dakota. For many years Don suffered from Parkinson's Disease. Betty Ann selflessly cared for Don in their home. Don preceded her in death on July 22, 2010.

Surviving her are a daughter, Sandy Sullivan (Darryl) of Ashburn; a sister, Carolyn Garber of Broadway and a cousin, Susan Garber of Harrisonburg.

Rev. Richard Moll will conduct a memorial service Saturday May 16th at 2pm at the Broadway Presbyterian Church.  Burial will be private.
