Betty Nell Plaugher Thomspon, 82, of Harrisonburg, died May 15, 2025 at her home.

She was born February 2, 1943 in Virginia and was a daughter to the late Harry W. and Ervie Hamilton Plaugher.

She was a housewife.

On July 29, 1967 she married Elwood W. Thompson, Jr. who preceded her in death on February 5, 2022.

Surviving is a son; Harold Lee Thomspon, of Harrisonburg, and two children she helped raise; Floyd and Boyd Putman.

She will be buried privately at Herwin Chapel Cemetery on Simmers Valley Road.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

There will be no services at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
