Beverly Ann Hinkle, 64, of Linville, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville.

She was born June 13, 1961 in Harrisonburg and was a daughter to the late William B. and Carol Marie Roadcap High.

Beverly was employed for 28 years as Secretary to the Principal at J. Frank Hillyard Middle School.  It was at J. Frank where Beverly formed lifetime relationships with students, staff and parents.  She kept everyone in line and made sure everyone had what they needed that included assisting teachers, answering phones and distributing keys.  Beverly enjoyed reading, watching birds and other wildlife and going to the beach.

On February 14, 1981 she married Kevin L. Hinkle, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter; Veronica Hinkle, of Linville, a son; Ian Hinkle and wife Alyssa, of Rockingham, three grandchildren; Ruth, Daniel and Rachel Hinkle, all of Rockingham, three brothers; Gary High and wife Doris, of Broadway, Ken High and wife Michelle, of Linville, Randy High and wife Vickie, of Timberville, sister-in-law; Karen Hoover and husband Chris, of Broadway, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pastor's Scott Harris and Brian Duncan will conduct a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, May 31st at 5:00 PM at the J. Frank Hillyard Middle School Gymnasium in Broadway.

The family will greet friends following the service in the gym.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
