Bill Velmont Neff Sr., 90, passed peacefully in his Bridgewater home on November 18, 2023 with his loving wife Elizabeth Miller Neff and beloved dog Brody by his side.

Bill, a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, was a quiet and humble servant of his community, due to his deeply rooted faith. He was a 1951 graduate of Broadway High School followed by service in the United States Army from 1953-1956. Bill was happiest when on his boat fishing or in the field hunting with his prized bird dogs. The family would encourage all those whose lives have been touched by Bill's generosity or compassion to continue his legacy by leading their life with a servant's heart.

Bill was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children; Barbara Turner Neff, parents; James and Agnes Showalter Neff, children; Teresa Neff, Kenny Neff, and Bill Neff Jr.

He is survived by sons; Doug Neff and Jeff Neff, grandchildren; Tonya Geremia, Tasha Thompson, Andrew Neff, Brittany Neff, Alex Neff (Martina), Paul Neff and Kenneth Neff Jr., stepchildren; Sara Caricofe (Bryan), Seth Muterspaugh (Jaclyn), Matthew Muterspaugh (Krystal), step-grandchildren, Lily Caricofe, Ryan Caricofe, Madison Muterspaugh, Adalyn Muterspaugh, Chloe Caricofe, Kendyl Muterspaugh and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, J.C. Neff (Linda), a sister, Winona Evans, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the many caregivers who treated Bill with such respect. In keeping with Bill's wishes, there will only be a private graveside service.
