Blaine Albert See, 89, of Mathias, WV, went  home to be with the Lord June 12, 2025 surrounded by his family.

He was born March 23, 1936 in Mathias, WV.  He was the son of the late Garrett and Damie Shipe See.

On November 23, 1957 he was united in marriage to Nina J. May See, who preceded him in death October 26, 2016.

Blaine was a hard-working man who loved his family, especially those grandchildren who could do no wrong.  He was a member of Jenkins Chapel United Methodist Church in Mathias. He was a proud marine, a life-long fan of the Philadelphia Phillie's, and an avid deer hunter.

He is survived by daughters, Lecia Stevenson (Ronnie) of Timberville, VA, Annabel Lambert (Steve) of Linville, Lina Bradfield (Bev) of  Mathias, Lena Phillips (Robert) of Timberville, Becky Carraway (Glen) of Baker, WV; grandchildren, Luke Stevenson (Rhonda), Stephanie Saverance (Mat), Emily Mongold (Austin), Nathan Bradfield (Angie), Jordan Bradfield (Tiffany), Hillary Pence (Michael), Regina Phillips, Travis See (Natalie), Natasha Howard, Ryan Carraway; great grandchildren, Jake Stevenson, Riley, Cole, Ruby, and Parker Saverance, Winston, Austin, Ariella, Brooklyn, and Coleson Bradfield, Virginia Swick, Kinley and Carter Pence, Hayden, Madelyn and Jarrett See, Jackson and Jameson Howard.  Also surviving are two sisters, Savilla Shipe of Broadway, Evelyn Cullers of Rockingham; a very special nephew, Danny Cullers; and an "adopted" granddaughter, Kaelynn Reigel.

In addition to his wife, Blaine was preceded in death by two sons, David Franklin See, and adopted son, David Lee Carter See; granddaughter, Virginia Lambert; siblings, Dorman See, Nolan See, and Dona See.

Pastor Dale Smith will conduct a graveside service 11:00 AM Tuesday at Jenkins Chapel Cemetery in Mathias.

Those wishing to sign the guest book may do so at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway, Monday from 10 AM – 7 PM.  The casket will be closed.
