Brenda Faye Cook, 73, of Rockingham and formerly of Brandywine, WV, died October 2, 2026 at White Birch Communities.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; Lester A. Mitchell and Treva M. Pence Mitchell, her husband; Kenneth Bruce Eye and brother-in-law; Gary Hottinger.

She is survived by grandson; Joshua Emrich and wife Samantha, grandson; Ryan Emrich and wife Heaven, six great granddaughters, a very special friend whom she considered a daughter; Beverly Dawn Mitchell Burriell, sisters; Linda Mitchell, Nancy Motschiedler, Judy Smith and husband Carson, Debbie Hottinger, Joann Reedy and husband Charlie, a brother; Jerry Mitchell and wife Janice and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per Brenda’s wishes, services will be private.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
