Craig McPherson, 64, of New Market, passed away on Sunday, October 8th, 2023, at his home.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 21st, 2023, at Grandle Funeral Home, 148 E Lee St, Broadway, Virginia with a Celebration of Life immediately following at his sister's home in Quicksburg.
Craig was born on September 5th, 1959, in Orlando, Florida and was the son of Sandra Lee McPherson and Ronald Harry McPherson.
He attended Shenandoah Valley Academy, where he played baseball and graduated in 1978. Craig became an electrician out of high school here in New Market. Through his own company, McPherson Electric, he has serviced countless businesses and homes in the area. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, motorcyclist, gun enthusiast, and outdoorsman. He will be remembered for his wonderful conversations, excellent storytelling, and lifting people up.
Craig was a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be survived by his daughters, Laura Munguia and Emily McPherson, his son in law, Lee Munguia, Emily's significant other, Scott Stevenson, his brother, Matthew McPherson and wife Tonya McPherson, and his sister, Sadonna Long. He will also be survived by his nephews Jeremy Orebaugh and wife Isa Orebaugh, Andrew Long and his wife Katie Long, and Chris McPherson, his great-nephew Otto Long, his great nieces, Nora Long and Lillian McPherson, his grandchildren, Ella and Luca Munguia, and future grandchildren to come.
Craig was preceded by his mother, Sandra Lee McPherson and his father, Ronald Harry McPherson.
Memorial contributions may be made in Craig's honor to the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Arrangements are in the care of Grandle Funeral Home, Broadway.
