Daniel Wayne Deavers, 76, of Criders, VA passed away August 5, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center.

He was born June 30, 1949 in Harrisonburg to the late Weldon "Ike" and Mary Ellen Jones Deavers.

Daniel was a truck driver for 57 years for Harrisonburg Motor Express.  He was a member of Christ Fellowship Church in Broadway.  He was also a member of the Country Cruisers and the Valley Cruisers.

On July 3, 1983 he married the former Virginia Ann Rexrode who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Debbra Lewis of Mineral, VA, Barry Deavers and wife  Amanda of Criders, Billy Deavers of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Hunter Deavers, Ashley Deavers, Breanna Lewis, Patrick Lewis, Kathilynn Deavers; 2 great grandchildren; one brother, Steven Deavers and wife Cherry; one sister, Linda Holman; adopted daughter, Sara Kennedy; special brother-in-law, Johnny Rexrode and wife Maryann.

He was preceded in death by one great granddaughter.

Pastor Sandra Cave will conduct a memorial service 1:00 PM Friday, August 15th at the Timberville Community Center.  At Daniel's request, he was cremated.
