Daniel Peter Gemerek, 59 of Broadway, passed away at Harrisonburg Health & Rehab.

He was born November 2,1965, in Buffalo NY, to the late Kenneth Earl and Eileen Marie Wert Gemerek.

He worked at several flooring companies and served in the National Guard.

On November 2, 2018, he married the former Linda Getz.

Surviving are children they babysat, Jay and Joanna Foley, sister Deneice Townsend and Husband Paul, stepsister Susan Wittig, nieces, Jody Townsend and Robyn Townsend, great nephew Ethan and special friends; David Harms, Joe and Teresa Alex, and Kim Heitman, brother-in-law Barry Getz and wife Cory.

Those wishing to pay respect and sign the book may do so Saturday August 23, 2025 between 9:00 am to 7:00 pm at Grandle Funeral Home. Per his wishes his body will be cremated.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the ICU Department at UVA.
