David E. (Goatie) Mongold, 67, of Broadway passed away April 27, 2024 at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.

He was born on September 14, 1956, in Petersburg WV, to the late Earl W." Bub" Sr. and Dovevi LaVonne Ball Mongold.

David served in the United States Army for 23 years, he trimmed trees for a living and loved to canoe and hunting.

David is survived by sisters; Georgia Fulk and husband Joesph, of Broadway, Barbara Diaz of Broadway, Debra Plogger and husband Melvin of Broadway, brother; Daryle Mongold and wife Kat of Bryant CA, four nieces and three nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister Linda Faye Johnson and brothers; Earl Wayne Mongold Jr., William (Billy) Earl DeArmond and Ronald DeArmond.

Pastor Wade Armentrout will conduct a graveside service Thursday 2:00 pm at Newhouse Cemetery in Rig WV.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
