Dennis Lee Fadeley, 73, of Timberville, passed away on December 1, 2023 at his residence.
He was born in Shenandoah County, on January 13, 1950. He was the son of the late Betty Jean Rinker and Derlyl Wilford Fadeley.
Dennis was an extremely hard worker and only retired from William A. Hazel construction when his back wouldn't allow him to continue working.
Dennis, better known as "Fade-A-Way" adored his brothers, sisters, son, and daughter-in-law, but his passions were his 3 grandchildren and JMU football, in which he had been a devoted fan for over 35 years. Dennis will be remembered as a loving, fun, dancing machine, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
On January 19, 1974, he married Frances Ann Fadeley who preceded him in death on January 9, 2015.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Fadeley and wife, Jennifer of Timberville, brothers: Lonnie Fadley (Pam) of Manassas, James Miller III (Carolyn), Kim Miller (Janet) all of Mt. Jackson, Kevin Miller (Brenda) of Middletown, sisters: Patty Riffey of Strasburg, Lisa Burner (Hector) of New Market, Lori Robinson (Timmy, one of Dennis' best friends) of Woodstock, and three very special grandchildren, Alexis, Kendall, and Kamden.
Outside of Dennis' close-knit family, he is also survived by many friends, including best buds Bobby Goodier and J.R. Richard.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is also preceded in death by sisters Judy "PeeWee" Coffman and Debra Custer and brother, Mike Miller.
The family will receive friends at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 6-8 PM.
Pastor E.J. Wyant will conduct the funeral at Grandle Funeral Home on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Timberville Cemetery.
