Doris Elaine Ryan, 89, of Bridgewater, passed away April 9, 2024 at Bridgewater Home.

She was born on December 3, 1934, in Timberville VA to the late Carl D. and Bertha Elizabeth Lamb Wine.

Doris was a member of the Timberville Church of the Brethren, attended Morning Star Lutheran Church in Mt Jackson, and loved to be outside gardening.

On May 5, 1955 she married Sgt. Clovis Linden Ryan who preceded her in death on February 3, 2020.

She is survived by sisters; Helen Shickel of  Bridgewater VA, Mildred Border of Wenhechee, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by brothers, Franklin Wine and Roland Wine.

Pastor David Moore will conduct a graveside service Saturday April 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Morning Star Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Friends may sign the guestbook Thursday (April18) and Friday (April 19) from 9 am- 7 pm at Grandle Funeral Home.
