Obituary

Edna Mae Green, 75, of Broadway, passed away on August 31, 2026, at Life Care Center of New Market.

She was born May 8, 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late John J. and Antoinette Kalvaitis Green.

Edna earned her bachelor's degree and dedicated more than 20 years to teaching in the Bellmawr, New Jersey, school system. After relocating to Virginia, she continued her career in education with Rockingham County Public Schools as a transportation assistant. She was an active member of Cornerstone Church of Broadway. Edna was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving Edna are her nephews, John J. Green III and John Thomas Brecker; niece, Lisa Oliver and husband Rich; great-nieces, Liela, Angelica, Serena and Annabelle; great-nephew, Jayden; special friend, Mary Kircher and husband Roy.

Per Edna's wishes, her body will be cremated, and services will be private. Interment will be at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr, New Jersey.
