Obituary

Eleanor Mason Campbell, 86, of Rockingham, passed away October 7, 2025 at her home.

She was born July 19, 1939 in Broadway and was a daughter to the late Herman Daniel and Louise Tusing Mason.

Eleanor worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Rockingham County Public Schools.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, volunteering and helping those less fortunate.  Eleanor was a 1957 graduate of Broadway High School.  She was a member of Sunset Drive United Methodist Church in Broadway.

She celebrated 68 years (October 5, 1957) of marriage with her husband, William M. Campbell, who survives.

Also surviving are three children and their families, daughter; Donna Kiser (David), of Rockingham, grandson; Christopher Kiser (Jennifer) and their daughter Lola Kiser, daughter; Tammy Nesselrodt (Tony), of Rockingham, granddaughter; Koren Price and her children, Angelina Price and Alvis Quick, son; Dwight Campbell, of Dayton, grandson; Darren Campbell (Beth) and  their children; Levi and Jonah Campbell, grandson; Preston Campbell (Lauren) and their children; Carter and Harper Campbell, granddaughter; Lena Campbell, a sister; Colleen O'Roark (Gerald Daniels), of Bluffton, SC, a brother; James Mason (Frances), of Rockingham and his children, Jayme Showalter (Russell) and their children Ivy and Mason, Daniele Caldwell (Seth) and their children Lucy and Everleigh.

The family would like to thank caregivers; Kim Burkhead, Aimee Evans, Cindy Waggy and Legacy Hospice.

A private graveside service will be held at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

There will not be any services at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

To honor Eleanor, the family asks you to visit a homebound person or provide help to a handicapped person.
