Emerson Walter Pitts, Jr., 93, of Broadway, died April 4, 2025 at Timberview Crossing in Timberville, VA.

He was born June 24, 1931 in Winston Salem, NC and was a son to the late Emerson Walter and Phoebe Odessa Smith Pitts.

He was self employed in construction.  He was a member of Friedland Moravian Church in Winston Salem.  He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by two daughters; Joan Good and husband Ron, of Broadway, Charisse Cordero and husband Michael, of Carpinteria, CA, one son; Louis Emerson Pitts, of Greensboro, NC, one sister; Ruth Pitts, of Winston Salem, NC, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother; Tom Pitts, a sister; Maxine Stewart and a grandson; Walt Carrier.

His body will be cremated and there will not be any services.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
