Floyd Junior Halterman, 85, of Timberville, VA passed away September 8, 2026 at Sentara RMH Medical Center.

He was born June 7, 1941 in Bergton, VA to the late Frank McCauley and Iola Anona Dove Halterman.

Floyd worked in the maintenance department at Pilgrim's Pride. He was always busy building or fixing things and loved Dodge trucks. Floyd was a quiet, kind, compassionate, and loving person who would do anything for anyone in need. He took care of his mother and his sister, Wilma, when they were ill.  He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him, especially his cats, Cody and Heidi.

On April 7, 1979 he married the former Marie West, who survives.

His sisters, Vada Arehart and Wilma Wilt, and his brother, William Halterman preceded him in death.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Perry Moyer Memorial Cemetery, Crab Run Road, Bergton.

Friends may view and sign the guestbook Sunday from 9 AM – 7 PM at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
