Gladys Marie Sager, 87, of Broadway, VA passed away May 8, 2025 at Life Care Center of New Market.

She was born March 10, 1938 in Rio, WV to the late Alston D. and Esther Smith Heishman.

Gladys was a homemaker.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Arkansas, WV and attended Mt. Carmel United Brethren in Christ Church in Fulks Run.

On April 18, 1954 she married Virgil Grant Sager, who preceded her in death September 15, 2002.

Surviving are two sons, Vernon Sager and wife Gail of Broadway, Randy Sager and wife Marcella of Timberville; one sister, Carolyn Jean Johnson of Winchester; three grandchildren, Robbie and wife Mia, Kelsey, Ranee; four great grandchildren, Colin, Conner, Raelynn, Abigail.

Her daughter, Marie Stroop, preceded her in death.

Pastors Scott Budde and Glen Turner will conduct a funeral service at 2:00 PM Monday at Mt. Carmel U.B.C. Church.  Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Arkansas, WV.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM Monday at Mt. Carmel U.B.C. Church.

Friends may view and sign the guestbook Sunday from 9 AM – 7 PM at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
