Harry Dale Custer, 73, of Broadway, died December 2, 2023 at his home.

He was born January 26, 1950 in Harrisonburg and was a son to the late Harry Medford and Ivy Jane Plaugher Custer.

He had worked at Custer's Wrecking Yard.  Dale enjoyed working on small motors, watching westerns, and just getting out of the house.

He was married to the former Carolyn Collins, who preceded him in death on January 12, 2019.

Surviving are three daughters; Farrah Brockman, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Tara Lupo, of Harrisonburg, Alaina Custer, of Mathias, WV, a son; John Custer, of Broadway, six grandchildren; Destiny, Madison, Brianna, Trinity, Devin, Jasmine, a sister; Mary Jane Trimble and husband Richard, of Linville, a brother; Jimmy Custer, of Fulks Run and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; Eugene "Gene" Custer, Otis Custer, Sr.

Pastor Kevin Gerber will conduct a funeral service 3 PM Friday at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.  Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends Friday before the service from 1:30 PM- 3 PM at the funeral home.  Those wishing to sign a guest book and view may do so on Thursday from 9 AM- 7 PM.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
