Helen Louise Gum Wegman, 98, of Linville, died October 16, 2023 at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab.

She was born June 2, 1925 in Randolph County, WV and was a daughter to the late Grover and Dona Hammons Gum.

She worked as a side seamstress at H.D. Lee Company.  She attended Mt. Zion Church of the Brethren.  She loved sewing and crocheting.

On February 25, 1939 she married Roy Wilson Wegman, Sr., who preceded her in death on November 2, 2008.

Surviving are four sons; Roy Wegman, Jr., of Broadway, Carrol Wegman, of Dailey, WV, Jackie Wegman, of Broadway, Kenneth Wegman and companion Shelia, of Valley Bend, WV, 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren and a number of siblings.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Gearldine Wegman, two sons; Delmas and Wilson Wegman, and a number of siblings.

A funeral service will be held Friday 10 AM at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.  Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
