Hilda Pauline Runion, 92, of Broadway passed away September 2, 2025 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Harrisonburg.

She was born December 8, 1932 in New Market and was the daughter of the late George Henry and Lucy Florence Hausenfluck Phillips.

Hilda worked at the H.D. Lee Co. as a seamstress and later at James Madison University in food service.  She was a member of Sunset Drive United Methodist Church in Broadway.

On April 22, 1952 she married Wayne R. Runion who preceded her in death on October 05, 2009.

Surviving is a daughter Robyn McKenzie and husband Bob of Bridgewater; a son, Dwayne Runion and wife Sheila of Broadway; grandsons, Christopher Runion, Eric Lewis and wife Anne Marie; great grandchildren, Sawyer, Wrenley, Silas Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be private but those wishing to sign the book and pay respects may do so on Monday from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
