James Allen Tusing, 73, of Timberville, VA died December 26, 2024 at his residence.

He was born January 15, 1951 in Harrisonburg to the late Allen Dwayne and Nellie Louise Shifflett Tusing.

James was a custodian for V.D.O.T.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Timberville Moose, and a lifetime member of the Edinburg V.F.W.  He loved to fish.

On May 25, 1978 he married the former Thelma Elizabeth Haviland, who survives.

Also surviving is his son, James Wesley Tusing of Timberville; one sister, Jean Layden of Glosner, VA; one brother, Martin Tusing of Buena Vista, VA; and two nephews.

His body was cremated, and there will be no services.
