John Clark Pence, 61, of Clintwood, VA died May 4 2025 at Dickenson Community Hospital in Clintwood.

He was born December 11, 1963 in Harrisonburg, VA to Cathy Pence Kemp of Raphine, VA, and the late Govino Chilluange.

John was a road construction flagman.  He loved his family, and people.

On December 6, 2012 he married the former Mary Weatherford, who survives.

Also surviving in addition to his wife and mother is his son, Jonathan C. Pence; half -brothers, Phillip Keller, Gilbert Rosado; sister, Peggy Chilluange, half -sister, Carmon Rosado; uncle, Richard Pence and wife Juanita; and close friend Keith.

John was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Dean; grandfather, Joseph Pence; and two uncles, Ronnie and William Pence.

He was cremated and there will be no services.
