Josephine Annetta Hornick, 86, of Harrisonburg went to her home in heaven January 30, 2025 at the Life Care in New Market VA.

Jo was born on October 1, 1938 in Elkins WV to the late Dorsey V. and Mary Elizabeth Wyatt Hornick.

She was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church. She had many jobs but one she loved most was being a caregiver. Her favorite past time was caring for and sharing her flowers and going to yard sales.

She is survived by a brother, Dale Hornick; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; Dempsey, Howard, Eugene Hornick and sisters: Aillen and Freda Hornick.

Pastor Donnie Owens will conduct a funeral service Friday February 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm before the service. Burial will be private at a later date.
