Joyce Ann Moyer, 77, of Bergton VA, passed away April 5, 2026 at TimberView Crossing in Timberville VA.

She was born September 8, 1948 in Harrisonburg VA, to the late Delmar M. and Eleanor Fulk Ritchie.

Joyce retired after 30 years of dedicated service as the postmaster of the Lacey Spring Post Office. She was a member of Hilltop Bible Church and attended Mt. Carmel United Brethren in Christ Church, where she served as an organist and pianist, something she truly loved.

On January 14, 1967 she married Franklin Moyer, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter; Tanja Smith and husband Jeff of Bergton, Grandsons; Daniel Smith (Kaylee Seekford), Matthew Smith, Brother; Terry Ritchie (Barbara) of North Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by an infant son.

Pastor Terry Ritchie and Scott Budde will conduct a funeral service 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Mt. Carmel United Brethren in Christ Church in Fulks Run. Burial will follow at Perry Moyer Memorial Cemetery in Bergton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 6-8 P.M. at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
