Judy Carroll Painter, 84, of Timberville Va, passed away on June 28, 2026, at her residence.

Judy was born November 28, 1941 in Rockingham County, to the late Norman and Ethel Marie Lutz Weaver.

In 1957, she married Landon Thomas Painter, who preceded her in death on April 21, 2023.

She worked as a packer at Byrd & Fredrickson and then Bowman Fruit sales for numerous years. Judy was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Quicksburg.

Surviving Judy is her son, Marcus Painter Sr.; grandchildren Marcus Painter Jr., Comonique Simmons, Lori Spitzer, and Trinity Painter.

In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was also preceded in death by her son Michael Painter.

Pastor Glen Turner will conduct a funeral service on Friday July 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Woods Chapel Church near New Market. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Jackson Cemetery.

Those wishing to pay their respects and sign the guest book may do so on Thursday from 9 AM to 7 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home.
