Katherine Ann (Magee) Snider of Harrisonburg, VA passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023.

She was born June 26, 1959 in Texas, and was the daughter of Denver and Rebecca Skeens of Nettie, WV.

Katherine will forever be remembered as a survivor, not only for her strength to overcome everything that blocked her path throughout her life, (to the doctors astonishment and due to the insane amount of love, care, and devotion from her son) she also beat the most unbelievable odds over the last year.

While she achieved many things, in her eyes, her greatest achievements would be her children, Susan Marie Hinegardner (husband Adam), Sarah Elizabeth Lam (husband Shannon), Stephanie "Nik" Nicole Snider (fiancé Lance), and Donis "Ray" Snider.  She was by far the most proud of those who called her "GRAMS", her grandchildren – Faith Hope, Kaitlyn Elizabeth, Colby Scott, Isaiah Lee, Gabriel Xavier, McKinzy Payge, and Alyssa Marie, and her great grandsons – Nico Atlus and Kato Avery.  Sadly she passed away just two and a half short weeks before the birth of her great granddaughter, Gracie Maria Anne..... but for anyone that knew Katherine, knows that she was laughing at all of us, because she met Gracie first.

Katherine is also survived by her father, Denver "Ray" Skeens; brothers, Rodney Magee, Jack Magee; sister Denise (husband Robert), and sister Jessica "Sunshine" Bowyer (husband Shane); nephews, Quinton (wife Cora), Andrew, Shane, Rafael; and great nephew, Ethan; nieces, Janice, Randee, Sydney, Alexia, Krysta; and great nieces, Cevaya, Sophia, and Ellie.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jasmine Marie Strother; and her mother Rebecca Cavazos Skeens.

A graveside service will be held July 4, 2024 at 11:00 A.M.  She will be buried beside her mother like she wanted at the Skeens Family Cemetery at the Crooked Fence Farm in Nettie, WV.

There will be no viewing or services at Grandle Funeral Home.
