Obituary

Kenneth Alvin Moyers, 73, of Singers Glen, VA passed away June 15, 2026 at his residence.

He was born on June 10, 1953 in Harrisonburg to the late Harold David, Sr. and Willie Virginia Carr Moyers.

Kenneth worked in the shipping department at Tenneco Auto Parts Manufacturer for 48 years.  Kenneth was of the Mennonite faith and attended services throughout his life at Mt. Zion Church of the Brethren, Sunset Drive United Methodist Church, and Zion Hill Mennonite Church.

He was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to providing for his family and helping his friends whenever the need arose.  He had a deep love for the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, farming, motorcycling, and the simple pleasures of country life.  Known for his noticeable smile and innocent sense of humor, he loved to joke around.  He could easily be made to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh.

On June 23, 1974 he married the former Brenda See, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Travis Allen Moyers of Bridgewater, Trenton David Moyers and Amber Ann Moyers of Rockingham; one daughter, Tracy Marie Moyers of Singers Glen; one grandson, Nehemiah David Moyers and one granddaughter, Elizabeth-Rose Ann Moyers, both of Rockingham.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, H.D. Moyers, Jr.

Pastor Jon Prater and Trenton Moyers will conduct a funeral service 2:00 PM Sunday at Mt. Zion Church of the Brethren in Singers Glen.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Saturday at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Generations Crossing (Adult Program), 3765 Taylor Spring Lane, Rockingham, VA  22801; or Mt. Zion Church of the Brethren, 10589 Mt. Zion Road, Singers Glen, VA  22834.
