Lannie Franklin Dove

Lannie Franklin Dove, 67, of Rockingham, died September 25, 2026 at his home.

He was born December 17, 1958 in Harrisonburg and was a son to the late Russell and Edna Halterman Dove.

Lannie held various jobs before becoming disabled. He loved to fish.

On September 21, 1990 he married the former Kathie Layman, who survives.

Also surviving are a son; Christopher Dove, a brother; Clealen “Shag” Dove and wife Linda, of Linville, a sister; Patricia Reese, of Roanoke and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers; Junior Dove, Roger Dove and Larry Dove.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
