Lena Elizabeth Wampler Westfall, 100, of Broadway, VA passed away May 30, 2024, at her residence.

She was born January 21, 1924, in Timberville to the late Hobert and Ruth Higgs Wampler.

Lena worked in the housekeeping department at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Linville Creek Church of the Brethren in Broadway.   She loved baking pies and cakes and enjoyed gardening.  She was a mother to many.

On December 22, 1943, she married Walter "Bill" S. Westfall, who preceded her in death February 15, 1994.

Surviving are two sons, Billy F. Westfall of New Market, Wayne E. Westfall, Sr. of Rockingham; one daughter, Carolyn A. Keister of Broadway; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 1 nephew.

Lena was preceded in death by one son, Larry A. Westfall; one brother, Earl Wampler; and one sister, Mary Katherine Frymire.

Pastors Paul Roth and Nathan Hollenberg will conduct a funeral service 11:00 AM Wednesday at Linville Creek Church of the Brethren.  Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.  A fellowship meal will follow after the burial.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

The casket will be closed.
