Lonnie Williams Mook, 79, of Fulks Run, VA passed away January 8, 2026 at his residence.

He was born April 23, 1946 in Bergton, to the late Rawleigh and Ruth Simon Mook.

Lonnie worked in the maintenance department for Ball Corporation.  He was an avid hunter.

On September 10, 1988 he married the former Lilly Fisher who preceded him in death April 30, 2018.

Lonnie is survived by one daughter, Malinda Ruth Mook of Linville; two stepdaughters, Mary Beth Hess of Fulks Run, Sirenia Marvec and husband John of Weyers Cave; one stepson, Robert Jason Puffenbarger of Fulks Run; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Charles Mook and Larry "Buzz" Mook, both of Bergton; five sisters, Katherine Bridges of Timberville, Mary Dove of Fulks Run, Evelyn Armentrout of Criders, Wilma Mitchell of Timberville, Janie Hall of Harrisonburg.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Eva Shifflett; three brothers, Ralph, Lester, and Harold Mook.

Pastor Eddie Steele will conduct a funeral service 11:00 AM Tuesday at Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.  Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6 – 8 PM at Grandle Funeral Home.
