Loretta Mae Wilt Secrist, 88, of Broadway, VA died January 6, 2025 at Life Care of New Market Nursing Home.

She was born September 13, 1936 in Mathias, WV to the late Ottis Wilt and Esther Wilkins Whetzel .

Loretta was a key punch operator at the Data Center in Broadway.  She was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren in Mayland.

On June 4, 1955 she married Ray William Secrist, who preceded her in death December 21, 2024.

Surviving are three daughters, Debra Wilson of Broadway, Teresa Fleming of Broadway, Kristen Secrist of Broadway; three grandsons, Jeremy Wilson, Jamie Wilson, Styles Simmers; four great grandchildren, Allison Wilson, Preston Wilson, Parker Wilson, Zaiden Simmers; half-sisters, Ruby Crider of Harrisonburg, Linda Whetzel of Lost River, WV; half-brothers, Lawrence Wilt of Bergton, Gary Wilt of KY.

Her brothers, Robert Wilt, Gary Whetzel, and Gene Wilt and David Wilt preceded her in death.

Pastor Glen Turner will conduct a graveside service January 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Linville Creek Cemetery in Broadway.

Loretta's wishes were to be cremated, and there will not be any services at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
