Obituary

Lory "Jim" Brown Miller, 76, of Linville, passed away at his residence on January 18,2024.

He was born November 29, 1947 in Harrisonburg, to the late Landis and Ada Dove Miller.

Lory worked many years being a truck driver with Virgil Messerly.  He was drafted into the Army, serving in the Vietnam War, and was stationed in Germany.  He was a member of the Harrisonburg Moose Lodge, and a member of the New Market American Legion.

On August 24, 1968 he married the former Wanda Nutter Miller.

Besides his wife, Lory is survived by sons: Jon Miller of Linville, Jeremy Miller and wife Carla of Broadway, granddaughters; Cheyenna Howdyshell, Rozzlyn Miller, Pashance Miller, Seth E. Miller, one great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Miller; and sister Della Jordan.

Rev. Millard Sonifrank will conduct a graveside service 2:00 PM, Monday January 22, 2024 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 pm at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
