Margaret Ellen Dessez

Margaret Ellen Dessez, 83, of Timberville, passed away September 23, 2026 at Sentara RMH.

She was born November 25, 1942 in Hershey, Pennsylvania to the late Samuel E. and Margaret Bellaman Fager.

Margaret worked at Rockingham Poultry for 33 years and was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church in Broadway. She enjoyed the simple things in life, especially playing bingo, watching wildlife, and working on puzzles in books.

On May 19, 1962, she married Leroy Weldon Dessez, who preceded her in death on August 31, 2018.

Surviving Margaret are her daughter, Brenda Lee Helmick and husband, Steve, of Timberville; son, Randolph Scott Dessez of Elkton; and grandson, Cassidy Helmick of Broadway.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings.

Per Margaret’s wishes, all services will be private.
