Marvin Lee Knupp, Sr., 86, of Rockingham, died March 14, 2026 at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab.

He was born August 2, 1939 in Harrisonburg and was a son to the late Raymond Phillip "Pete" and Nora Elizabeth Emswiler Knupp.

He was a car salesman for D & M Automotive and also worked at the Harrisonburg Chuck Wagon.  Marvin was a past member of the Valley Cruisers Car Club and enjoyed riding around in his 1960 Chevrolet, "Hardly Able".  He attended Faith Baptist Church in Broadway.

On June 17, 1959 he married the former Ruby Moyers, who survives.

Also surviving are four sons; James Knupp and wife Lisa, of Port Republic, Brad Knupp, of Broadway, David Knupp and wife Debbie, of Harrisonburg, Marvin Knupp, II and wife Angela, of Harrisonburg, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, two nieces, sister-in-law; Rachel Knupp and a number of cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother; Eddie Knupp.

Pastor Kevin Gerber will conduct a funeral service Friday at 3 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.  Burial will follow at Caplinger Cemetery in Criders.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Friends may sign a guest book and pay their respects at the funeral home beginning Thursday at 9 AM.
