Mary Ann Cash, 82, of Rockingham VA, passed away on December 13, 2023 at her residence.

She was born on August 10, 1941 to the late Richard John Henry and Marie A. Schuller Baardse.

Mary Ann worked as a receptionist for Dr. Cerrone. She was a member of Saint James Catholic Church in Washington DC but attended Mount Valley United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school classes for years and started a prayer shawl ministry, hook and needle angels, for the cancer patients at Sentara. She was an avid crafter and artist.  She loved her family and friends with all her heart. Mary Ann was also the neighborhood mom where all the kids hung out, touching a lot of young people's lives.

On January 18, 1958 she married Wayne C. Cash who survives.

Mary Ann is survived by daughters; Julie Golden, Sharon Morris and husband Steve, Son's; Ricky Cash and wife Rhonda, Clint Cash and wife Debbie, Kyle Cash and wife Lisa, Blaine Cash and wife Stacey; grandchildren; Dennis Golden, Samantha Golden, April Cash, Opal Cash, Clint Cash II, Amber Rossen, Whitney Bostic, Nicolas Cash, Hayley Cline, Tyler Cash; great grandchildren; Scarlett, Bobby, Ricky, AJ, Alexis, Hunter, Mason, Xzavier, Xander, Astrid, Saleene, Alister,  great God daughter Raelynn Wimer; sisters, Linda Baardse McAndrew, Carol Vatsend, Jeanette Fuller. She has lots of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and way too many to mention.

In addition to her mother and father she was  preceded in death by her stepfather, Austin Treadway;  brothers; Richard Baardse, John Shuller, sister; Cecila Wilkins, son; Dwayne Cash.

The Revs. Edwardo Carillo and Erich Bennett will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the Mountain Valley United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6pm-8pm at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway VA or may visit at the residence of Wayne Cash.
