Matthew Edward "Bud" Miller, 96, of Timberville passed away July 28, 2026.

He was born July 28, 1930 in Broadway to the late George Edward Miller, Sr. and Leafy Runion Miller.

Matthew served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a corporal.  He served from January 30, 1951 – January 29, 1953.  He retired in 1997 as a metal fabricator from Broadway Metal Works after 32 years of service.  He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Fulks Run.

On September 26, 1953 he married the former Shirley Cullers who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Brenda Neil (Sony), Gary Miller (Lori), Dennis Miller (Lois); 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Willard "Red" Miller, George "Skip" Miller, Jr. and two grandchildren.

At Matthew's request, there will be only a private family graveside service conducted by Pastor Glen Turner. There will be no visitation or viewing at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
