Melissa Gay Eaton Judy, 61, of Lewis, DE and Broadway, VA passed away December 18, 2025 at home with family.

Melissa was born on December 11, 1964, and was the daughter of the late Donna Roadcap Eaton and Richard Arlow Eaton. She was raised in the Broadway/Timberville area, graduating from Broadway High School in June, 1983.

Melissa completed her bachelor's degree in business from Eastern Mennonite University, and her career has spanned hospital medical billing, hotel management and retail management, including positions in Delaware and Maryland. Melissa loved living near the ocean, and she adored her feline friend Cleo (short for 'Cleopatra').

She is survived by her sister, Melody Eaton and husband Richard Dellinger Jr of Broadway, sister Jennifer Wallace and husband Will Wallace of Chesapeake Virginia, and two nieces Ava Wallace and Abbie Wallace of Chesapeake, Virginia. Also surviving are her stepmother Nancy Eaton of Chesapeake, Virginia, and cousin Frank Sorrells and wife Paula Sorrells from Niceville, Florida.

Pastor Debbie Dukes will conduct a graveside service at Linville Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Saturday, December 27 at 11:00 am.

There will be no services at the Grandle Funeral Home.
