Mildred Lucille Jacksie, 99, of Harrisonburg, VA passed away on March 23, 2025.

She was born September 17, 1925 in Fulks Run, VA, to the late David R. and Marie Walker Crider.

Mildred spent her childhood in Fulks Run, VA and attended the local schools, graduating from Broadway High School in 1943. Mildred married Richard "Dick" Jacksie on May 15, 1951. They were married for over 60 years.  After marrying, she and her husband moved to Los Angeles, where Mildred attended university, receiving a degree in education as well as a teaching credential from the state of California. She taught elementary school in California for 22 years. Mildred enjoyed reading, traveling, and playing card games.

Her siblings Alton, Henry, David, Jacob, Roberta, Lula (Crider), and Marium Selke preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister Martha Henderson, of Broadway.

The internment will be a private family service and there will be no services at Grandle Funeral Home.

It is requested that no flowers or remembrances be sent.
