Patsy Weaver of Bridgewater Retirement Community, formerly of Tenth Legion, VA passed away on April 16, 2024.

She was born October 19, 1930 near Mount Jackson, VA., a daughter of the late Mary Ellen Williams Green and Abner Norman Green.

She graduated from Triplett High School and Palmer's Business College. Patsy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was known for her cooking and baking, a talent that will be missed greatly by her family. She was also an Avon representative and assistant manager at Broadway High School cafeteria for almost two decades. She was a member of Manor Memorial United Methodist Church and the U. M. Women's Society.

Her husband of 49 years, Harold L. Weaver, preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by 12 siblings and was the last remaining member of her immediate family.

She is survived by four children, Gail McKinney of Broadway, Steve (Pat Cheeks) Weaver of Broadway, Bryan Weaver of Penn Laird, and Angela Foltz of Broadway in addition to grandchildren, Christopher McKinney (Becca), Zachary Weaver (Michele), Elizabeth O'Connell (Robert), Mariah Knight (Trenton) and Kristen Knight (Christopher). She had 7 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Manor Memorial United Methodist Church in New Market at 2:00 PM on May 4, 2024. Visitation with the family will be held in the church social hall immediately following the memorial service.

Grandle Funeral home will be handling arrangements, and any memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
