Paul F. Glovier, 74, of Broadway, VA passed away April 17, 2026 at his residence.

He was born July 22, 1951 in Waynesboro to the late Richard "Frank" and Katherine Ross Glovier.

Paul was a graduate of Waynesboro High School.  At  the age of 18, he joined the Waynesboro First Aid Crew, and at the age of 21 he joined the Virginia State Police.  He retired 29 years later in 2001 with the rank of Chaplain and Master Trooper.  After retirement Paul entered the ministry and pastored Singers Glen Baptist Church for 24 years.  He was also interim pastor at Broadway Baptist Church and often spoke at other churches.

Paul is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane Vess Glovier, whom he married March 7, 1975.

Also surviving are three sons and their families, Richard L. Glovier of Broadway, Matthew F. and wife Holly Glovier of Bergton and children Brenden and Riley, David C. Glovier and wife Renee of Strasburg, VA and children, Gwen, Deacon, and Charlotte; one sister, Kay G. Hanger of Waynesboro; numerous cousins; and in-laws.

Pastors Kirk Hanger, Donnie Owen, and Marsha Garst will conduct a funeral service 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Broadway Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Singers Glen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Broadway Baptist Church.
