Pearl Louise Showalter Keister, 90, of Broadway, died January 26, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 30, 1934 in Rockingham County and was a daughter to the late Wade Vance and Dorothy Berry Showalter.

She retired from the Lee Company as a seamstress.  She was a member of Cedar Run Church of the Brethren near Broadway.  Pearl was a member of the Banjo and Fiddle Club in New Market, enjoyed bluegrass music and was an avid baseball fan.  She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

On June 27, 1952 she married Paul Ashby Keister, who preceded her in death on May 19, 1997.

Surviving are two sons; Terry Keister, of Timberville, Henry Keister, of Broadway, three daughters; Sharon Huffman, of Timberville, Judy Smith, of Timberville, Dorothy Sheffer, of Mt. Solon, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son; Billy Keister, a daughter; Paula Pence, three brothers; Clarence Showalter, Richard Showalter, Nelson Showalter and three sisters; Ruby Pence, Nina Zirkle, Marie Combs.

Pastor Glen Turner will conduct a funeral service 1 PM Thursday at Cedar Run Church of the Brethren.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.  Those wishing to sign the guestbook may do so beginning at 9 AM on Wednesday.
