Peggy Louise Carroll Fallon, 74, of Staunton, passed away surrounded by family.

Born January 10, 1951, in New Orleans to Thomas F. Carroll and Pearl Duplantis Carroll, Peggy grew up in Westwego, La., and later New Jersey. She graduated from Montclair High School and earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Montclair State University.

After working in her field, Peggy devoted her life to her home and family, living for many years on a small farm in Timberville, Va., before moving to Staunton. A deep thinker and person of strong Christian faith, she was a self‑taught Bible scholar and author of A Mystery Acknowledged. She was also a gifted cook, known for homemade bread, from‑scratch French fries, and Louisiana jambalaya.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Michael Fallon. She is survived by her husband of more than 40 years, William Fallon; children Daniel Green (West Augusta, Va.), Melissa Green Hinshaw and husband Seth (Pottstown, Pa.), Suzanne Fallon Noto and husband Andrew (Staunton), and William Fallon and wife Heather (Staunton); and seven grandchildren: Thomas, Jesse and Patrick Green; Valerie, Lily and Andrew Noto; and William "Liam" Fallon.

She will be remembered for her generous spirit, keen mind, and the way she never missed a chance to tell her children and grandchildren how much she loved them.

Pastor Todd Thomas will conduct a funeral service 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Timberville Church of the Nazarene in Timberville VA. Burial will follow at St. Matthews Cemetery in New Market VA.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
