Penny Golladay Lohr, 82, of Broadway passed away February 17, 2024 at the Timberview Crossings in Timberville.
She was born May 13, 1941 in Shenandoah Co. to the late Esta Golladay Emrick.
Penny worked as a secretary for Rockingham Mutual Insurance. She was a member of the Sunset Drive United Methodist Church where she served in the Women of the church and as a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Broadway Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Aux.
On September 23, 1958 she married Jack D. Lohr who preceded her in death on October 25, 2020.
Surviving is a son, Jeff W. Lohr and wife Kim of Broadway; daughters, Melinda Brown of Broadway, Jennifer Beahm and husband Joe of Broadway; grandchildren, Joshua Lohr(Morgan Phillips), Tyler Brown(Haley), Adam Beahm(Brittany), Tiffany Moxley(Thomas), Emily Collins(Austin); step grandchildren, Ashley Wright, Joshua Wright; great grandchildren, Emerie, Cooper, & Stella Beahm, Jaxson & Kylie Moxley, Mason & Cameron Brown; step siblings, Gerald "Butch" Emerick, Roger Emerick, William "Billy" Emerick, Jackie Emerick, Arlene Ramsy, Patricia Sager; In-laws, JoAnn Gilkerson, Phyllis Wisman(Dave), Margaret Lohr, Gene Hoover; numerous nieces and nephews; Penny was accepted by the Mason and Fitzwater family as a sister, surviving of those family is; Sandra Tolle, Bonnie Morris, Bonnie Caplinger, and Linda Jameson.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by step siblings, Donna Sheffer, John Emerick Jr.; and numerous other In-Laws.
Pastor Steve Proctor will conduct a graveside service 3:00 P.M. Thursday at the Linville Creek Church of the Brethren.
Those wishing to pay respects may stop by and sign the book Wednesday from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway where the casket will be closed.
