Ramah Jenn Comer, 89, of Harrisonburg, passed away October 4, 2025 at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.

She was born June 16, 1936 in Mathias, WV and was the daughter of the late Wendell and Juna Jenkins Mathias.

Surviving is her grandson and caretaker; Dustin Wimer (Jodie) and their children; Adalyn, Braylyn and Deklyn, a son; W.C. Comer, of MI, a sister; Illa Fern Newbill (Jack), of Hardy, VA, two brothers; Phillip Mathias (Deloris), of FL, Forrest Mathias, of Lawrenceville, VA, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Deborah S. Wimer and a sister; Joyce Kiser.

Ramah graduated from Mathias High School in 1955 and the RMH School of Nursing in 1958.  She spent her life as a nurse having worked at RMH, Camelot Nursing Home, Avante Nursing Home and in-home nursing.

At her request, her body will be cremated and there will not be any services.  Her remains will be interred at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Mathias.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sunrise Church of the Brethren, 1496 S. Main St., Harrisonburg, VA 22801.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
